Dragonsbane Saga Series

An epic fantasy series inspired by Pathfinder and Dungeons & Dragons. Contains 4 complete books and 2 prequel short stories, one for each character.

Book 1: The Dragon Tax

The only thing more dangerous than trying to kill a dragon is trying to make one pay taxes.

One doesn’t turn down a king, so Sybil accepts the job despite her misgivings. Usually she’s slaying dragons, not talking to them. Instead of collecting the tax, she unknowingly delivers a curse that leaves the dragon helpless, and she can’t bring herself to slay him.

Trapped in a body not his own, the dragon Riastel is scared and defenseless. Sybil finds him charming, in a brutish way. Unwilling to turn him over, Sybil and Riastel are wanted, on the run, and worse? Sybil may be falling in love.

Book 2: Dragons Ahoy

The seedy port of Beachcliff has a pirate problem. What they don’t know is they also have a dragon problem.

Sybil has no idea how to make good on her promise to break the curse on the dragon Riastel. Especially while penniless and on the run from the king himself.

Her main form of income, slaying dragons, takes on a different light with one as a lover. When he is kidnapped by pirates who demand she slay the dragon terrorizing the coast, Sybil must make a tough decision.

This time, saving one dragon might mean slaying another.

Book 3: Dragon Fried Cheese

At last the answer to that age old question: are dragons lactose intolerant?

The last thing Sybil expects is to be accused of murder at a cheese festival. With her behind bars, it’s up to the dragon Riastel to investigate. Too bad he has no idea how to talk to humans.

The arrival of Sybil’s former lover hampers his meager efforts. As the two men clash over her affections, the festival is terrorized by a new threat. One that’s been aging for far too long.

Book 4: Silence of the Dragon

Dragons mate for life. So what will happen to Sybil and Riastel’s relationship when the curse is lifted?

When Riastel declares his love for Sybil, she panics. But her attempt to distract him worsens Riastel’s curse, leaving him magically silenced.

To get his essence back, they must seek out Riastel’s sister at her lair high in the mountains. But as the danger mounts, both of them will be forced to ask if they should break Riastel’s curse.

For Riastel, is getting back his dragon-self worth losing Sybil’s love? And can Sybil live with loving a dragon?
